i got a new video camera !!!

i finally got a compact video camera that i can call my own!!! i've been wanting to own a video camera ages ago but because video cameras are bulky and insanely expansive, i always restraint myself from getting one; until now.

i bought a toshiba gigashot v10 hard disk video camera for 59800 yen from amazon.jp which is very cheap for a small video camera. it utilizes toshiba's new world smallest hard drive (about the size of one hundred yen coins; i've seen this at the toshiba muzeum) and what i really like about this video camera is it's weight: merely 260g and it's tiny size: i don't know the exact size but it's surely smaller that my own palm. for such a tiny body, this guy packs a LOT of punch.

the 4gb hard disk could record about 120mins of HD footage but the battery only last for 80mins. but with the included extra battery in the package i couldn't be more happier. along with the camera i also bought a 2gb SDRAM card to support the hard drive so that i could shoot more stuff.

i've been messing around with my new v10, shooting different kinds of videos and images in differant situations and to my surprise, although this is a budget video camera, the image quality (movie & still) is quite impressive. the only problem that i encounter is that the camera performs slightly below average on places with little light source. but on a shiny day, the image is brilliant !!! i also wished that they had installed a mechanical lens cover that can be put on and off with just the touch of a button but other than that, me like me new kamera yeah ! totally worth my every yen !

Koizumi did it again: Yasukuni Shrine Visit

just minutes ago, the japanese prime minister koizumi junichiro had kept his promise when he was made prime minister and visited the controversial yasukuni shrine for the 6th time. anyone who's been tracking news about the relations between china, korea and japan already know what this means: crazy chinamen and koreans protesting against japanese premises in their own country; by destroying everything that has to with japan.

ahh i woke up this morning and i thought " WTF! not again! ". i hope i don't wake up tomorrow morning with news about violent protests in china or korea.

and i know this has nothing to do with anything, but i present to you: a samurai-ninja-japanese-cowgirl in a 2 piece bikini. nice pantyhoses !

11 rules of the peace loving middle east yay !!!

11 frustrating rules

Rule # 1: In the Middle East, it is always the Arabs that attack first, and it`s always Israel who defends itself. This is called "Retaliation".

Rule # 2: The Arabs, whether Palestinians or Lebanese, are not allowed to kill Israelis. This is called "Terrorism"

Rule # 3: Israel has the right to kill Arab civilians, this is called "Self-Defense", or these days "Collateral Damage".

Rule # 4: When Israel kills too many civilians. The Western world calls for restraint. This is called the "Reaction of the International Community".

Rule # 5: Palestinians and Lebanese do not have the right to capture Israeli military, not even a limited number, not even 1 or 2. This is called "Kidnapping".

Rule # 6: Israel has the right to capture as many Palestinians as they want (Palestinians: around 10000 to date, 300 of which are children, Lebanese: 1000s to date, being held without trial). There is no limit; there is no need for proof of guilt or trial. This is called "War on Terrorism".

Rule # 7: When you say "Hezbollah", always be sure to add "supported by Syria and Iran". this is called: "Axis of Evil"

Rule # 8: When you say "Israel", never say "supported by the USA, the UK and other European countries", for people (God forbid) might believe this is not an equal conflict. This is called "Helping our Friends".

Rule # 9: When it comes to Israel, don`t mention the words "occupied territories", "UN resolutions", "Geneva conventions". This could distress the audience and is called "Anti-Semitism".

Rule # 10: Israelis speak better English than Arabs. This is why we let them speak out as much as possible, so that they can explain rules 1 through 9. This is called "Neutral Journalism".

Rule # 11: If you don`t agree with these rules or if you favor the Arab side over the Israeli side, you must be a very dangerous anti-Semite. You may even have to make a public apology if you express your honest opinion like Mel Gibson. this is called "Democracy"

TAKA & TOSHI

TAKA and TOSHI - my favourite japanese manzai duo. born and raised in hokkaido, the duo is known for their high tension and energy on stage; and also famous in high speed tsukomi (突っ込み). I've seen them live, during my collage festival (工嶺際) and they answered my high expectation by blowing the whole stage to the roof. here are my 2 most favourite skits from them:
