exams for the week

damn i so hate exams.

tomorrow : robotic engineering (ロボット工学)
the day after tomorrow : system engineering (制御工学)

these two are my most hated subjects in my degree course.

i've lost interest in robot-development through that robotic engineering subject. i thought doing robotics is cool, before i have to actually learn the basics and fundamental theories/theories of methods of moving a simple 3-point based robotic arm. the calculation is ridiculous!

i hate robots. robots will conquer the world and it will enslave us humans. you know, like in the movies, like the matrix.

so it would be better if they stop teaching robotic engineering and replace it with more human-friendly subjects,

like how to make a cute girl smile,

or how to teach your cat how to flush the toilet,

or how to eat ice-cream the right way so that it won't drip and leave a stain on your shirt,

during this hot summer season.

robotic engineering and system engineering comes hand in hand, so maybe that is why i hate them both, equally.

but there is no use of me ranting about this.

i should just do my best to pass the paper.

then, i won't have to worry about robots anymore.

but our grand-grandsons will have to;

because robots will conquer the world!

arrr arrr arrr !!!

[ job-fair for foreigners ] trip@

I just got back from Tokyo this morning. My back-bone itches, my neck feels extremely weird, like I just got a neck surgery last night; I’m slightly dehydrated and I’m tired like a race-dog.

As soon as I reached home, I want to take a quick nap but I can’t because the room was unbelievably messy and it stinks like my own piss during a cold winter’s morning. I gotta clean up; put some flowers in the room. Like rose. Red rose. Or tulips. Or maybe a HUGE poster of some 80’s Swedish pornstar, I don’t know.

Then I realized that I have no time to relax or clean my room because I got an exam in 3 hours, and I haven’t prepared anything. What a dumb move. Now I know, studying for an important exam when you’re extremely tired, in a messy + smelly room, is quite a challenge. I can’t focus at all.

3 hours felt like 5 minutes.

So I took the test, and unsurprisingly, I did poorly. I was so tired that I fell asleep while scribbling ‘something’ on the answer sheet. When I woke up and look at what I’ve written on the paper, I knew I have to slap my face hard, several times.

Instead of proper Japanese words, I’ve written Chinese characters that don’t exist. So I start over from the top; scrub off my scribbling, wipe off my drool and saliva left on the answer sheet and write something. Hopefully the correct answers.

Heh, who am I kidding here? Of course I flunked the paper, hard!

Anyways, I went to Tokyo this time to attend (another) job fair. This time, it’s held in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro and it’s open to all foreign students in Japan. Out of all the attendees, I bet 90% of them are Chinese foreign students, and probably 80% of them are 文系 (bunkei – liberal arts course) people, not 理系 (rikei – science course) like me.

There were too many people, I felt drowned in a sea of foreigners. I’m sweating heavily in my suit. It’s too hot, too loud and too many people.

I went to the Hitachi, Fujitsu, Aimnext and Konami; then I left. I was supposed to attend a second interview for Aimnext later during the day, but I don’t felt anything about the company, so I left. I don’t think that the trip was worth it, because the companies that attended the jobfair mainly are searching for 文系 (bunkei) people, not engineers.

Forget about job-hunting for a moment, I went to the new Malaysian restaurant in Ebisu Shibuya (the nearest train station is 代官山 daikanyama) for lunch, and I must say, the food there is exceptionally Malaysian! They’re delicious!

The menu for the buffet for the day is white rice (beras wangi siam), ayam kurma, gulai (Norwegian) mackerel and chicken + vegetable soup.

I went during lunch time, and they had two types of menu to choose from: a buffet or ala carte. I want to eat a lot so I choose the buffet (with dessert) for 1000 yen.

On the way out, I chatted with the two Chefs (one from Pengkalan Chepa and the other from Besut) and they told me about the the restaurant.

Jom Makan (the name of the restaurant), is the first restaurant in a newly announced government program: the Malaysian Kitchen program. The program aimed to place at least one Malaysian restaurant in each county around the world. That’s quite a big aim, and they hope to eventually put 1000 Malaysian restaurants under this program, scattering all over the world. Who knows, a franchise of government-sponsored Malaysian restaurants might work! Sounds really interesting too.

But I’m curious about one thing.

Being a fully halal restaurant approved by the Malaysian Embassy, having muslim chefs and a strong support from the Malaysian government; all these ‘strong points’ are unfortunately not that strong enough to keep the restaurant from being binded by the Japanese restaurants tradition: selling alcoholic beverages.

Majority of halal restaurants in japan sell alcoholic beverages, including Jom Makan.

So why is it so inevitable that it is a must for (even) a halal restaurant to adhere by the tradition and sell alcoholic beverages? The reasons are not many but one of the main reason for this shocking confusion is that the Japanese has a very strong drinking culture that no one would want to go eat at a place that don’t sell alcohol. Just ask other halal restaurant in Japan, and they’d probably say the same thing: no alcohol, no customer.

It seems like this is how things work in Japan.

So the one question that comes from my curiosity is this: Can it be considered OK to do this? I understand that they’re doing this to survive; this is how things work here. The alcoholic beverages were sold at a price that would NOT create profit, as a note.

Oh well, I’d rather be enjoying the rare authentic Malaysian food that I’m having in front of my eyes then to think about the issue; at least for the moment. So as I was enjoying my meal, I could hear the two Japanese customers sitting on the table in front of me talking about Malaysia. They seemed to really like what they’re having because both of them couldn’t stop saying [ kore, oishii! ] to each other. I couldn’t help it but nod in agreement, silently.

Then one of them picked up a magazine about Malaysia and started to read it. I continued to bring the tasty solid materials little by little into my mouth, and then I used my strong healthy teeth to crush and mix the food to produce a combination of tasty feelings that could only be achieved by the co-operation of carefully cooked ingredients and spices.

Then I stopped chewing when I heard the customer said : え!マレーシアでも高速道路があるんだ。。。ふんん。。。[ wow, they have highways in Malaysia too! ].

マレーシアでも超高層ビルあるんだ。。。知らなかった。。。[ they have skyscrapers too! I didn’t know this! ]

Wow. Is Malaysia this unknown to the Japanese people? Maybe they think that Malaysians are still living on tree houses and the women bare their boobies walking around the village.

いい年して、世間知らずで良くぞ生きて来られたね、ババ!もっと勉強しろ!

Well, I guess it cannot be helped. Probably the only source of information about Malaysia to these people is from the television. I don’t know why, but whenever they show something about Malaysia in the Japanese TV, they always show the ‘natural’ side of Malaysia; the aborigines, the long houses, tropical forests, women breast-baring walking around the village. Man, I have never seen any women baring her breast walking around MY village!

Anyways, it’s been a tiring trip and I just can’t imagine how more tiring and busier I’m going to be after this; I got more job-interviews, research projects, classes and exams.

exam's over ! i'm free! at least for a moment....

fuck yeah exam is over indeed! it feels like someone has lifted this heavy burden off my shoulders a bit and i do feel like i'm breathing a new, fresher air now; my chest jumps and danced like a little girl in tandem with the sound of the bell signaling the end of my last paper for the mid-term exam. it's cherry with vanilla ice cream.

today
i got only 2 papers: 伝熱工学 (dennetsu: heat-transfer engineering?) and 機械力学 (kiriki: machine mechanics?). i did pretty well with dennetsu, i must be a fucking genius or something! but i can't say the same thing about machine mechanics. out of the 10 papers that i took, this subject has to be the worst one. i wish i had more time to prepare, well, it's over now so there's nothing else that i can do. fuck that. yesterday i got 4 (!) papers so that's why i don't have the time to write about it last night (like the first and second day of exam) because i was too busy and too tired. the papers i took was 生産工学(seisan: production), 制御工学(seigyo: control), ロボット工学(robot), 数値計算法(suuchi: statistics calculation?). i did pretty well, i hope. it was a hard day, but i was happy at the end because i did better than i expected. so to summon up my impressions about this semester's mid exam: i think i did pretty fucking awesomely good and this has got to be my best performance in my studies in japan. i don't want to brag and all but like i give a fuck about what you think about me, so yeah i'm pretty happy with myself.

after
exam, everyone has this tired but happy look on their faces; i was dancing with mori, murata was singing the patriotic song of japan that were used to help japanese propaganda during the world war 2, murasawa is lying on the floor i don't know what the hell happened to him; and suddently, miyashita sensei called me told me this: i was chosen by the school to write an article that are going to be on the school's monthly magazine about my 3-year-long-life in nagano kousen and what i feel about graduation. i was asked to do a 600 japanese-words article about a subject that i don't really like, and there's nothing profitable for me, except i can put a picture of my most 'sparkling moment' during my kousen life (that's how the request translates in english, really!) on the magazine and that would be very nice for nostalgic memories in the future.

aha!
remember my post about me leading the sports oath ceremony? they printed the picture of my fat ass when i was on stage, stretching my hand forward like a nazi pose! well, it's not a big deal anyways but still, it feels kind a good to know that people actually realized my puny existence. oh, and i also have hemorrhoids. i've been infected by this pain-in-the-ass virus for a week now and i'm still not getting any medical treatment. i just trust my ass to cure itself. he's a tough boy. nothing that my lovely ass can't handle, well maybe except a hard jewish gay cock. or any cock. even artificial ones. i want to kill all gay people in this world !

so now
that the exams is over, i can finally turn my attention to my (still) unsolved '280000yen problem' that i've been avoiding direct contact with since the problem occurred right before the first day of exam. nice fucking timing. so my job now is to find more strong points that can be used agaist my assailants *cough* stupidfuckingsoftbank *cough*. my fight againts them starts again tomorrow morning. i don't want to talk about the details, but this really pisses me off. i'm one of those guys who don't get angry easily but when i do, man i'd do anything to fight back. you don't piss me off and get away from it. that's my quality assurance right there.

currently
i'm also waiting patiently for my new graphic card to arrive. the mighty radeon x1950 pro! man i can't wait to play shader model 3.0 games like splinter cell double theory and rainbow6 vegas with this awesome card. this card goes on sale tomorrow in japan and i'll get my card this monday, IF, the delivery guy doesn't fuck things up. this is going to be my last graphics card update because when i'm upgrading my computer next time, it's going to be a whole new rig with windows vista, core duo 2 3.0ghz, 2g RAM, Sound Blaster Xi-Fi, a high end 512mb directx 10 card with shader model 4.0 graphics card and a japanese hooker. ok the last one is just a dream i had last night. and it was very nice.

i am also thinking and asking myself: is this a good time to pick up that sexy xbox360 that's been doing pretty good lately with the release of AAA titles like gears of war and r6 vegas? a LOT of other AAA titles are also going to be released next year like halo3 (hopefully). the ps3 and wii is shit right now, but just wait for a year and it'll turn from a fucked up ugly duck bitch into a hot saliva dripping beautiful white swan that everyone, from kids to grannies , wants a piece of. the future of console gaming is as bright as the flash light those 40-something japanese nerds with their big-ass slr camera used to take photos of girls in their skimpy, flesh baring cosplay costumes. ok, i admit it, i like those girls too, but these nerds is making me sick to my stomach. i mean, it's FREAKAAAAYYY !!! they took these pictures, developed it themselves and use it as their daily dose of masturbation-assisting material. malaysia don't want to be a developed country but has a basically, although this is very harsh, fucked up society and people like japan. perverts, pedophiles, bullying in school that lead to suicides, japanese weird porn etc. these is not what malaysia wants to be. wait a minute. exclude the japanese porn part. that was a gift from above.

wow
what a long post! this time i don't want to put colors in my texts because it's such a troublesome when you write THIS much! damn, i have too much free time now! i should have done something more useful like exercising, practicing my cooking skills, playing violent video games and watching stupid japanese gameshows on tv. but i choose to blog. because it's cool. and you're cool too for reading this until the end. or you just have too much free time. what the hell are you doing? get off the internet already and go say hi to that old friend you've not been in contact with lately. tell him/her that i'm going back to malaysia from 21december to 9january.

until next time. assalamualaikum.

syukur alhamdulillah

oh yeah yeehaa ! after traveling from kyuushuu to hokkaido around japan chasing one purpose that is to get the opportunity to futher my studies, finally i can at least put my strees hat on a lower level. thank god i've passed the entrance exam for akita university. あああ、むっちゃ疲れたわ。。。。もう後5ヶ月はゆっくりと勉強と研究を進めるな。。

it's been a loooong time since i posted my last entry here because you know, i've been very busy with university entrance exam. i got so much to write with no time at all. right now i'm busy with the school festival (文化祭) that starts tomorrow. i'm quite nervous right now because i'm going to lead the whole freaking school tomorrow morning in the sports oath ceremony. when i heard that i was chosen to lead the oath ceremony, i think yeah maybe it's cool because that means i'm going to be the first foreign student to do it; but i forgot about one horrible thing. the japanese don't give shit about the oath ceremony: that's why every year the oath representative were SUPPOSED to do the oath ceremony in a humorous way because no one would give a shit if you do it PROPERLY. so i ride the time machine and flashed back to the sports oath ceremony when i was a third and fourth year student. oh my god the representative at that time were all trying soo hard to be funny that they look like fucking idiot jerks. oh shit i'm soo fucked !!!

so what the hell should i do for the oath ceremony next morning? my entire class were like "面白いのを期待してるよ。 = we expect it to be funny " !!! even my research lab professor said something about recording me next morning with his new high-definition sony handcam. damn it.

so i got a couple of ideas that i'm not sure are going to work. the first thing that i can come up with is to do the oath entirely in kelantanese dialect. haha. err... is it funny? that always works with my classmates but i don't know what are the reactions are going to be when the audience is just about 1000 japanese teenagers !!?!! ahh scrap that. my second idea is to it, NAKED. ok next idea: do the oath with a voice impersonation of someone famous like kitano takeshi or kodama kiyoshi. でもお前モノマネなんかやっ事ねぇだろう!?? i don't know how to do impersonations damn it! argh i'm doomed !! this is WAY harder than the university entrance exams !!

so there it is. i still have zero clue on what to do next morning. or maybe i should just put vegetable oil on my body and do it naked?

where's my head?

i woke up this morning feeling like a wrecked train. my head is on the other corner of the room, my stomach was lying under the bed and i can't find my dick. i feel like puking on my calculus practice books. what the fuck is wrong with me? hmm... maybe i didn't sleep well last night, and damn i'm starving ! i can eat a horse and his whole family for breakfast!

i'm up this morning and the first thing that i do is turn on the computer, and blog. fucking blog this piece of shit like i needed it. i'm currently in a state of spazzing, starving and a bit worried because i'm not doing what i'm supposed to be doing: studying. " fucking exams' just around the fucking corner man! " my conscience told me. my own conscience is the most genius thing in this whole world but unfortunately, i don't listen to him. aaa i'm gonna take a bath and went to HOKKATEN to buy that new menu for the summer: うな重 (una jyu: japanese tasty eel delicacy). damn it's already 12.31 p.m. !!! damn why do time have to fly soo fast? can't they sometimes you know, take a break to smoke some pot with the law of physics while watching gay porn or something?

owh, i'm not feeling well today. this kind of post is not a good start for a day that's going to be hard for me, but i've had much worse that this, so i guess i'm good. bye i have to take a crap. sorry for my language. kids don't copy me or i'll fuck your eyeballs out. owh i'm just kidding. i'm a peacefull guy. ok then everybody, have a beautiful day, and i wish for your good health !!!

rakuen baby !!!

rakuen baby !!!

楽園(rakuen = paradise)
yeehaa finally the mid-second-sem exam's over !! (後期中間試験). feels so good, like a multiple orgasm after a 2 hours long orgy !! really, i feel soo good that exam pressure is gone
(at least for now) and 1 week later i'm gonna get my much awaited and needed 2 weeks winter break. just like past exams, i think i fucked this one up, too. beautiful.
out of all the 11 papers, i think 3 won't past the 60 point mark.

計測工学 - Measurement (?)
流体工学 - Fluid Enggineering
機械演習 - Mechanical Practice (?)

so you people might want to know, what would happen if i really flunk these 3 (or may be more, damn i'm gonna hate myself if that really happens). well, this is the mid-sem exams so i have to do very, very well on final to make up the points lost on mid-sem (duh!). but what happens if, god forbids, i failed to 'make up' the lost points ??!! argh i think i should start studying for final exam right now !!

yeah the exams over, but i'm still busy. i need to prepare for a moral enggineering presentation this monday, got to do 2 reports that was supposed to be handed out last thursday, and finally clean up my room 'cause it looks like shit. smells like one too. well, hygiene is not on my top priority list when i got 11 papers to cover in 4 days !! argh i'm going to bed, it's been a very tiring week. when i woke up, i'm going to be
BATMAN.
