easily amused cat is not amused anymore

When I moved up into my final year and got accepted into the lab to start doing my final year project/research, I expected that I’m going to be pretty busy; and I won’t have the leisure of time to frequently blog like I used to anymore.

But to tell you the truth though, I don’t think I’m THAT busy.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Of course, I have seminars to prepare and attend to, I have assignments and I have all the simulations and experiments to do, but I do think that I have the time to blog, as frequently as I want to.

“So if I have the time, then why don’t I blog as frequently as I used to?”

I was thinking about the question above while I was taking my hot shower this morning, and I immediately knew the answer:

Now I’ve changed to be a little bit hard to be amused at anything!

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

I used to be amused at anything; and I would blog about it.

I cut my hair, I blog about it.

I saw a pretty girl on the street, I blog about it.

I made chicken curry for my lab partners, I blog about it.

My little sister refuses to hold my hand, I blog about it.

I lost my wallet, and got it back, I blog about it.

I met some clueless Jehovah witness people, I blog about it.

My balls were tortured when I fall from snowboarding, I blog about it.

A strong wind blew the skirt of a Japanese high school girl up, I blog about it.

Ada awek datang nak raba aku time nak gi solat Jumaat, aku blog pasal tuh.

I had a boner, I blog about it.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

The list of me being amused at EVERYTHING goes on and on and on, and I’m still blogging about it! I can’t believe at how easy it is for me to be amused at something; and just look at me amused at how easily I got amused!

But now, I’m not easily amused anymore; and when I'm not amused, I don't blog.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Like this morning, a cat was raping another cat right at the center of the main road in front of the library, and then a group of girls in inappropriately short skirts came to the rescue and they got the rapist cat running away, and the scared cat pisses while he runs (or maybe he was ejaculating? i don't know).

Usually, I would get amused at useless crap like this and immediately blog about it; but I'm not amused at all, so I won't blog about it.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Wait a minute; I'm actually blogging about it. Damn!

Aahh crap, I’m really bad at making any sense.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Anyways, to get to the point that I'm trying to say: the reason why I don’t blog as frequently as I used to lately is because I have become someone who is not as easily amused by life’s simple occurrences as before.

I’ve become numb to what is happening around me.

I’ve become a dead boring person.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Even if the town that I’m living right now was attacked by ninja zombies, I’m not going to be amused by the taught of the exciting possibilities of my brain being eaten while I scream in horrible pain.

I’m not going to be amused, even if [PUT YOUR MOST DESIRED SEXUAL FANTASIES HERE] happened and it was all for free.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

I need to change.

I need to re-open my eyes to my surroundings and stop taking for granted of all the wonderful things that is happening around me.

Well, I know the economy is bad and the Japanese government is predicting 0% of economic growth for the country until 2010, which sucks for me because I might get less bonus (or maybe worse, ZERO!) when I start working next April.

Being amused at things is good, because it made my life a little bit 'lively', I don't know the word.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

I need to be easily amused again, be thankful for what I got in life, and then blog about it.

Maybe I should start video-blogging too; that might be quite interesting to try on!

bunken happyou

alhamdulillah the presentation went smooth.

well... maybe it did not went exactly like i wanted it to ran.

i happened to forgot to set the stupid automatic progress function off; so the program changes the slides automatically after a short period of time. that was so clumsy of me.

at least i didn't get scolded as bad as okada-kun did.

man, i pity him. he made a little mistake for not using the pointer effectively, and got scolded big time by this one particularly cranky professor.

the very second the ruthless scolding moment stopped, everybody in the room went silent. probably the professor had a bad day, and lashed out on something so small.

he's just out of luck, i guess.

ok, now i got more time to focus on doing the mathematica programming language fortran. i think i'm kinda left behind in progress compared to the other kids in the research lab. i used to do C++ before, so i guess it wouldn't be that hard to play catch up.

i also have to prepare for the coming job-interview. this time i will have to sit for an aptitude test (適性試験) plus a 'weird' imagination test (想像力試験). anything they'd to to make an interviewee's life a little bit more nervous.

cheeky bastards.

praktis present

aku start buat slide untuk presentation dari pukul 10:00 a.m.

garu sana, garu sini.

siap pukul 7:00 p.m.

so aku ajak la memba2 satu lab untuk tengok presentation punya rehearsal.

10 minit 32 saat. takde la terlebih limit masa pon.

pastu aku tanya diaorg: so, ada apa2 kesalahan? atau nak komen apa2?

" ok, nak start dari mana dulu. mula2 kan, ada penggunaan kanji yg tak betul. bukan tak betul, cuma bunyi tak best aje. pastu kat bahagian isotope tu, baik jangan pakai kanji, pakai katakana aje, lagi senang org faham. bla bla bla "

seribu satu komen, pembetulan, idea di lontarkan.

ooo nampak nya diaorg nih memang betul2 tengok ngan teliti la presentation aku nih. ingatkan tengok - tengok ayam aje. org jepun nih memang semangat aje all the time.

" bercakap pon kena practice lagi, biar bagi lancar sket. biar bunyi macam org jepun. pronunciation dah ok dah, cuma kelancaran aje yg masih bunyi mcam foreigner "

allo, aku memang foreigner pon.

kulit sawo matang.

hitam manis, kalo ikut kata peminat aku time form 3 dulu.

hehehehe.

pastu pegi panggil prof plak, untuk last check.

" hmmm..... banyak gak kena betul kan nih. lagi penting drpd tu, kamu faham tak teori yg sum frequency generation spectroscopy nih pakai? contact-mode atomic force microscopy nih penah pakai? continuum mechanics ada faham? "

aku geleng kepala. toleh tengok memba2 aku yg sedap aje mengomen aku tadi, diaorg pon geleng kepala.

" ok la kita start dari basic. high school physics. dulu penah buat experiment pecah kan cahaya pakai slit kan? wavelength berbeza ... friction nih kena kira sampai scala nano ... zarah2 nih serap cahaya, tukar kepada tenaga translational kinetic pastu pantul balik jadi haba ... perbezaan friction bole dikesan diantara berlian yg disaluti layer hydrogen ngan deuterium ... bla bla bla "

aku rasa tak penah aku dapat sebanyak ini ilmu dalam masa 3 jam. memang power la prof aku! senang2 aje dia citer subject yg major dalam materials enggineering, sedang kan dia mechanical enggineering punya prof. berasap gak otak aku nak proses sumer information nih.

dah la aku rasa kena tipu ngan cikgu fizik dulu2. teori nak cari friction yg diajar time skolah dulu tak tepat rupanya, kalo nak ambik kira luas dalam skala nano. aku makin faham sekarang kenapa dulu kita kena terima aje result yg padat ngan ralat.

3 jam jugak aku tahan berak. fuuh memang mencabar.

tengok jam kat dinding. pukul 10:30 malam. gilak ah.

eating dried squid

i'm chewing on dried squid as i'm writing this, trying to prepare myself to get used to school because the 4-day holiday is over and tomorrow is school as usual. tomorrow i have to get up early again, which sucks because it's freezing cold out there and i don't like waking up with a freezing set of balls.

damn these dried squid is really good tsumami mono (snacks). i can chem on them all night long.

starting from tomorrow, i got myself lots of things to do, chores to be completed and desires to be denied. desire to be lazy. desire to sleep 12 hours a day. desire to be a useless human being on this deteriorating face of the earth. yada yada yada. i watched the al gore film, 'inconvenient truth' and that film really makes me think: damn, our kids're fucked! there's another eco-documentary film spearheaded by another celebrity, leonardo dicaprio entitled '11th Hour', and that one too is going to make you want to do something to save our environment.

i just think we're doomed. nothing can save us now! we are fucked because of our gluttonous ways of doing things.

save up some money. we're going to mars.

たけやパン工場でのアルバイトのこと

I wanted to write this earlier but I was just being busy not being busy. So my short-termed part-time job was over and surprisingly, it was not just money that I’ve earned. This has got to be the longest 6 days of 2007 for me; when you’re doing labour job all day long non-stop, every second feels like a minute, a minute seems like an hour. My foot trembles out of exhaustion everytime my shift ended.

But it was all worth it.

I’ve learned how effective it is the way the Japanese handle and manage manpower. You were never left without anything to do. It’s always work, every second of your working time; and everything must be done FAST. And everyone follow the rule.

I was also amazed by how strong some of the ‘veteran’ workers there. You really can’t help it but be amused when a 60 years old dude mixes a 20kg of mochi by hand for hours and on when I can’t even handle it for 15 minutes. Man, I want those muscles! You know, just to look cool.

I also appreciated money more after the short-term part-time job. Knowing how hard it is to get money, I become more aware of my money-wasting habits and I have decided to be more money-smart; well at least the first week.

My last job at the flower factory thought me all of these things too, but I kinda forgot. Actually, the job at the flower factory was actually a lot harder than this one. Before accepting the job, I was like; ha ha ha how hard it is to work in a place where they create pretty flower decorations? I was dead wrong.

Anyways, my part-time job was over and now I can return into my ‘no goal’ life. Ah, shit I forgot! The final is just around the corner. Thankfully, now I have a goal that I can look forward and put effort into.
