KUALA LUMPUR 19 Ogos — Dakwaan bahawa pengakuan dan sokongan kepada orang, pertubuhan atau parti tertentu diperlukan sebelum seseorang itu layak masuk syurga atau akan ke neraka adalah salah menurut ajaran Islam, kata Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Muzakarah Fatwa Kebangsaan, Prof. Datuk Abdul Shukor Husin.

Beliau berkata, keputusan Jawatankuasa Muzakarah Fatwa Kebangsaan telah menetapkan bahawa ketentuan seseorang Islam masuk syurga atau neraka adalah hak mutlak Allah s.w.t. berdasarkan kepada keimanan dan ketakwaan seseorang itu.

Katanya, keputusan itu telah diperkenankan oleh Majlis Raja-Raja dalam Mesyuarat Raja-Raja Kali ke-188 pada Mac 2001 dan menambah bahawa Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan telahpun membincangkan isu itu sejak tahun 2000 lagi.

“Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Kebangsaan juga berpendapat bahawa sesiapa sahaja yang mengajar atau menyebarkan pandangan atau fahaman seperti ini adalah salah dan menyeleweng daripada ajaran Islam sebenar,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Beliau mengulas kenyataan Menteri Besar Kelantan yang juga Mursyidul Am Pas, Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat dua hari lepas bahawa penyokong atau anggota UMNO tidak akan masuk syurga. - Bernama

earthquake this morning

Japan was struck with another significant earthquake this morning.

I woke up at about 5 a.m. this morning with the apartment shaking.

It felt like the end of the world; scary as fuck.

I know I’m going to be fine because my apartment is earthquake-proof.

But it is still as scary as fuck.

Minutes after the shake was over, an announcement from the public speakers is informing us to check for the safety of other family members, and report any injury to the authorities.

So I checked my PS3, XBOX360 and the new D90… all were safe and sound.

My Dell Dimension is the last thing I would check… it gives me headaches lately for being so slow!

Then I went back to sleep; I figure I’ll watch the TV later to be updated on the scale of today’s earthquake.

A couple of hours later, I woke up to the sound of my iphone receiving messages.

I got 6 identical emails with an hour interval between them; it’s from my company’s disaster countermeasures system.

The system would automatically send emails to employees to respond and report their status in the occurrences of any disaster, and it will keep doing it until you answer.

When I click on the link, it would take me to a form that I could fill to report my well being.

I turned on the TV and was a bit in awe; the earthquake was a pretty big one.

6 in Richter scale.

Damn!

Michael Jackson is dead.

He had a fatal cardiac arrest at the age of 50.

I'm pretty shocked.

It's just last week that I learned how to moonwalk.

When a living legend among us passed away, the whole world felt the loss.

The fear of Babi-Flu

Finally the new swine flu has reached the Kanto region and the first case of infection came from two Japanese high school girls that just got back from New York.

The thing that kinda struck me with anxiety is the fact that both girls goes to a school in Hajioji using the same train that I use every morning to go to work.

Yikes!

I don't know about other countries, but the fear in Japan is pretty real, you felt it everyday, especially from the electronic medias.

There are even shops that gave out alcohol-spiked tissues to the customers before they enter the shop, to sterilize their hands.

At work, we were urged to wash our hands and gargle properly upon returning from work.

I know this new swine influenza has the possibility of going pandemic and cause massive chaos if not treated properly, but I think the media is scaring us all too much.

They are over doing it.

The possibility of me getting caught with the influenza is lower than Malaysia getting smart and reliable politicians.

Anyways, please understand that these terrible and horrible disease came from above because all you humans have sinned far too much, so lets pray to the source to stop giving us such trouble.

ngomen pasal konflik palestine

Kat sini aku banyak tulis pasal benda2 yg mengarut tak ingat dunia punya.

Kalau ada orang yg datang sebab nak baca pendapat aku pasal issue politik ke, issue agama ke, issue apa2 aje la yg serious sket, maka mereka akan hampa sangat2 sebab aku tak brapa suka post benda2 yg serious nih.

Bagi aku, kalo org nak baca pasal sumer issue2 tuh, diaorg bole baca di blog orang lain yg lebih arif pasal issue2 tersebut.

Tapi aku tak bole alih pandangan daripada satu issue kemanusiaan nih: ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT.

Sejak aku lahir, sampai hari ini, issue hangat nih tak penah selesai.

Baru2 ini aku tertarik dengan interview Al-Jazeera dengan salah seorg wakil Fatah, yg menegaskan bahawa issue Israel-Palestine merupakan issue tanah, bukan nya issue agama ataupon bangsa.

*Fatah nih dikatakan lebih non-violent (dan lebih diplomatic) sket berbanding Hamas; dan US, Turkey dan Egypt lebih senang berurusan dengan Fatah berbanding Hamas, kerana history Hamas dahulu yg lahir daripada pemberontakan student2 Egypt menentang pemerintah nya.

Nyata sekali wakil Fatah itu bijak dalam memberi pendapat seperti itu, kerana approach seperti itu lebih mudah untuk mendapat sokongan international yg realitinya agak rimas nak tolong orang Islam.

Tapi kenyataan wakil Fatah itu jauh sekali daripada kebenaran.

Teras utama conflict ini tak lain tak bukan adalah kerana conflict tiga agama Abrahamic utama: Islam, Christianity dan Judaism.

Walaupon conflict Israel-Palestine selesai dengan Hamas menjadi badan governance dengan 2 state solution (dimana border Gaza dan West Bank kekal mengikut Belfour Declaration 1917), tidak akan wujud situasi aman di Holy Land.

Kenapa?

Orang Islam sudah pasti tidak akan berpuas hati selagi Israel wujud di muka bumi.

Orang Yahudi pula lebih sanggup mati daripada meninggalkan tanah Israel.

Orang Kristian pula mahu tanah Palestine menjadi hak milik Yahudi 100% untuk memenuhi criteria untuk Armageddon berlaku. > ni panjang ceritanya. Cuba selidik sendiri pasal criteria yg perlu dipenuhi agar Jesus dapat turun ke bumi untuk selamatkan org Kristian dan org Yahudi yg convert masuk Kristianiti.

Kesimpulan nya, selagi wujud nya penganut ketiga2 agama tersebut, tanah Holy Land itu tidak akan aman; sama seperti sejak beribu-ribu tahun lagi. Tanah Palestine telah dikuasai oleh pelbagai kuasa penjajah dari seluruh genap dunia; bersilih ganti.

Tapi itu tidak bermakna kita bole pejam mata tutup telinga dengan ketidak-adilan yg berlaku di tanah Palestine sekarang.

Apa yg kita bole lakukan, sebagai seorang manusia biasa yg tak punya apa2 kuasa besar?

Boikot barangan Israel dan US?

Bagus juga cadangan itu, tapi aku tak nampak yg tindakan itu boleh merubah apa2.

Walaupon begitu, paling kurang pon tindakan tersebut dapat menaikkan kesedaran masyarakat tentang kekejaman rejim Zionis.

Itu lebih penting.

Yang penting adalah peningkatan tahap kesedaran masyarakat yg konflik ini bukan nya di cetuskan oleh rakyat Palestine, tetapi oleh polisi Israel sendiri yg tidak mahu memerdekakan Gaza dan West Bank.

Issue nya adalah kerana Israel mahu taraf hidup di Gaza dan West Bank jadi begitu buruk, sehinggakan orang Palestine itu sendiri akan angkat kaki dan berpindah ke negara Arab lain.

Israel mahukan semua tanah Palestine, dan cara yg terbaik untuk menghalau orang Palestine drpd tanah mereka sendiri adalah dengan merangsang mereka supaya meninggalkan tanah air mereka sendiri.

Itu lah misi utama golongan2 yg menyokong objective rejim Zionis.

Walaupon begitu, aku cukup hampa dengan negara2 Arab lain yg kaya dengan duit minyak.

Kekayaan Pak2 Arab nih setanding dengan Pak2 Yahudi; kalo mereka betul2 nak tolong Palestine secara tekanan politik terhadap US, bole aje.

Cuma diaorg tak nak ajeh.

Diaorg lupa dengan pesan Rasulullah (saw) supaya meninggalkan budaya asobiyyah arab.

Semua nya sebab sayang kan duit.

Tak guna umat Islam jadi umat paling ramai kat dunia ni pon.

Thesis Crisis of The Weekend

I woke up this morning to the sound of my cellphone buzzing.

It was from my research professor, so I know that this will be an important one because he normally sends emails ONLY when there is something really necessary to be informed; but this time I was not prepared at all for this particular email.

My professor’s father died last night, and today he is going back to his hometown in Kyoto to take care of it. Rest In Peace.

He also said in the mail that he is taking a brief break and probably will not be in Akita until next week.

I was really sad to hear this, but then I realized that I should be more shocked, worried and sad even more:

I was supposed to meet him tomorrow (Monday) so that I could present him my preparations for the coming thesis interim-presentation on Wednesday. The objective of the meeting is to make sure that the decisions and choices that I made in preparation for the presentation is in-line with his visions about the thesis; and also to check the flow of the whole presentation, confirm the data and simulation method, and also my Japanese grammar.

But now with him not being able to make the meeting, I am left to check and fool-proof my own work, which is very difficult for me to do at this point because I just got the theme of the thesis 2 weeks ago, therefore not acquiring enough knowledge and intellectual skills to do it myself.

I’m kinda fucked here.

Ok, it might not be as bad, but what worries me is not the presentation, but the ‘questioning time’ AFTER the presentation. I’m worried that the other professors, who are going to attend the presentation, are going to torture me with sarcastic critics on how half-assed my ideas were and how terrible the presentation was.

Having to do the presentation without first consulting with my research professor, I really have lost confidence to perform well, presenting and answering questions correctly. Japanese professors are pretty vicious when it comes to criticizing student’s presentations. They will rip and tear you apart if you make a dumb mistake, and that will really make you ‘down’.

Ah! Enough with the whining! I can do this! I've been in worse conditions before so bring it on bitches!

On the other hand, I’m so disappointed in myself at how bad I handle the death of the people of the people that I know. I really have a problem on what to say to them at these sad times. I really want them to know that I felt sorry for them, but I lack the proper social skills to tell them my feeling. This is because I’m always concerned that I might have a slip of the tongue and totally make it worse for him/her.

I really don’t know about what is the proper response that I should give my research professor. If anyone out there has an idea, please share it with me. Should I call him? Should I just send my condolences through email? What should I say? I'm really clueless and lost here

At first, I was going to sent him something that I later realized as being too 'formal and native' for a foreigner to write. Something like this:

it is already proven that obama has the ability to run a country; and this is backed by how good and organized his election campaign was. he was able to find legions and legions of volunteers to work for him; reaching out to younger people and even to those who has no interest in politics before.

he is also a genius in raising funds; by utilizing the ease of internet banking and social-network sites, it was estimated that his campaign fund almost doubled or maybe tripled his competitors. having an advantage in funds is always a good thing in politics.

it also happens to be that he has a very charismatic voice, and his speeches bring about an ample amount of hope to the people in these dire times. his speech writers are experts in writing speeches that reflected the people from the bottom up, not the other way around.

last but not least, ANY president after george w. bush is going to be good enough for everyone at the moment. lets be honest here, obama is a young cub in foreign policy, but of course, he has joe biden to counter that argument. barack obama has the aura of goodwill at the moment, and he best put that good impression to good use.

he deserved the win.

i was never a fan of american politics, but after watching the 30 minutes paid advertisement by the U.S. presidential democratic candidate barack obama, i was stoked and sold.

never have i heard such a convincing speech by a politician.

judging by how awesome the video was, this guy will definitely win, no doubt about it. i'm not even american, but i was made to believe that the famous talk about CHANGE, is not just mere political bullshit.

he talked the talk very impressively.

p/s: my only concern is that how much money had set the barack campaign back, to support a 30 minutes long advertisement during prime time? some might nod their head and say that it is a sacrifice worth every dollar. but i'm sure there are american voters out there who is going to see it as nothing more than wasting precious money.

Leah Dizon : The New Shotgun Bride ?!!

Before singing her last song on the last day of her first national tour, Leah Dizon shocked the crowd with an announcement that she got married with a japanese stylist; and she is pregnant with his kid. She said she is happy with her family now and she will take a brief break from the entertainment industry.

I was drinking my milk when I first saw the news on TV this morning, and it was an awesome WTF moment that I almost burst milk everywhere.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I'm kind of a 'fan' of Leah Dizon, and this news is not something that I look forward to when I am drinking my milk in the morning.

She said that she is taking a brief break before coming back, but judging from the harsh and difficult competitiveness of the japanese entertainment industry, I don't see her ever making a successfull comeback.

Well, all that I can say is thank you for all the awesome photobooks and all the silly but cute music videos. I just hoped she had used some decent cock blocker to avoid this from happening; that way maybe she has a longer career. She just topped the japanese gravure industry and are just trying to set her foot in singing... such a loss.

it's been extremely hot these couple of days, and the heat had been stealing almost all of my energy to get through the day. i'm hung like a tired dog at the end of the day, just before the time of breaking fast.

in the hotness of summer and hungriness of ramadhan, i've been reading about malaysian news. and one of those that caught my attention is the raja petra case.

4 religious departments in malaysia had filed a lawsuit against the provocative malaysian blogger, accusing him of deforming the image of islam, its followers and the prophet Muhammad saw.

two controversial article were brought up: the post entitled I Promise to be a good non-hypocritical Muslim, and the comments made in the post entitled Not all Arabs are descendants of the Prophet.

being the anonymous nature of the internet, i don't think that the blogger should be held accountable on what the readers wrote on the comment area, but raja petra should know better that not everyone understand this.

i don't always agree with what raja petra wrote, because a lot of it are just angry rants, and you don't know whether what he wrote depends on his fabricated imagination or pure fact; but sometimes he did write things that encouraged people to think, so that is why i seldom follow his stories.

if you read his I Promise to be a good non-hypocritical Muslim post, you could easily understand why he made some people really pissed, even during ramadhan.

his angst had compromised his control over how to tip toe across a narrow border of misunderstandings. he is talking smack against muslims, but he is not talking smack against islam. in islam, there are bad muslims and good muslims. and even a good muslim could misunderstood the intention of his post.

call it language barrier, culture barrier.

anyways, raja petra should've known better.

not all of his readers are smart people who could take some honest smack-talking. especially hollier-than-thous.

just after unveiling a stimulus package worth 11.7 trillion yen ($107bn; £59bn) to boost the country's economy a couple of days ago, today the prime minister of japan yasuo fukuda had announced that he's stepping down as the prime minister, ending his short-lived seat of power.

after the influential junichiro koizumi stepped down as prime minister, and the failure of shinzo abe to maintain a stable cabinet, fukuda took the job during japan's lowest political stability; trust and support for the government is at it's lowest.

it seems like the prominent impact of the koizumi-legacy is far too great for the poor fukuda to match and follow suit. at least it didn't went as bad as abe.

the same effect could be seen on malaysian politics.

mahathir left a hole bigger than what abdullah could fill.

and we're not talking about filling a jar with candies here.

aahh... the internet. another example of how a random 'accident' or small events involving a pretty asian girl with technology could generate such interest that turns into a global news story.

iphone girl is the newest internet celebrity, but like all the other internet celebrities, no-one knows who she is.

a briton purchased an iphone, activated it for the first time and were surprised to found that the 'home screen' had already been set with pictures of a chinese girl who looks like she was working in an assembly line in a factory. it seems like the employers at the testing department were testing the iphone, and forgot to delete the pictures.

　　言い方悪いかもしれないが、都市が人々を貧しくするから、貧民がいっぱいであるのではなく、都市が貧民を引き付けるから、都市は貧民でいっぱいである。都会は悪いから来るのではなく、都会は良い環境性質を持っているから何百人もの人々が都会に集まりに来る。取引と振り合いの機械を求め、郊外に来る農村からの出稼ぎ労働者にとって都会とはより輝く未来を提供する場所であろう。また都会は、他には手に入れない公共輸送と最低生活保障福祉計画などもある。

　　我々人間は社会的な種であり、そして私たちの最大級の実績はすべて協力的である。都市は、協力的である共同作業をより簡単にするためのマシンであり、人間類の発展に欠かせないものになっている。

　　人間は非常に強い柔軟性を持ち、環境の変化に合わせて自分の習慣を変えていく。よりいい生活の性質を掴むには自然に戻るのではなく、このまま地球が都会化的に進むべきだと思う。しかし、原料として使えるものは自然の中にたくさんあるから、自然の回復と調整して、自然を効率よく使用するべきだと考える。自然は人間のためにあるから、その逆ではない。

shake of the day

there was a small earthquake (turns out to be 4.0 in richter scale) just minutes ago and it made me quite dizzy because everything was shaking. after the bigger wave of shakes stopped, i quickly took the video below:

before this music video is made public, i have no idea who I Hyo-lee (Hyori Lee) is.

born in May 10th of 1979, she is a popular South Korean singer and actress and was rumored to be the highest-paid female singer in South Korea.

This is her latest music video, a trojan horse to her comeback into the korean entertainment business after a brief hiatus.

at the age of 29, she still holds the crown of being the sexy queen of korean entertainment.

because their appearance do resemble each other in some way.

anyways, the song was pretty catchy and the music video was pretty fun to watch. i don't choose good + cheap entertainment.
