born in May 10th of 1979, she is a popular South Korean singer and actress and was rumored to be the highest-paid female singer in South Korea.

malaysian school uniform for girls: too transparent, too sexy?

There has been quite a buzz when a group of muslim students (National Islamic Students Association of Malaysia) came up with an idea that the current school uniform for Malaysian girls, are just too transparent, too sexy.

Hmmm... I just don't see what the fuzz is all about. Religious groups have been trying to connect the way women dresses with rape, from as long as I could remember. Some famous religious figure have also been quoted to say that the women who dresses sexy deserves to be raped. I don't think defending the rapist would be Islamic ... or is it, now?

I don’t want to talk about whether I agree or not.

But I remember this one time, when I was in form 2 (or maybe 3), it was raining, the thunder-storm is coming and I was waiting for the bus when a group of girls from a nearby religious all-girls school come running towards the bus stand. They’re all wet and drippy.

I don’t mean to look but I remember this one scene in a malay movie starring ogy ahmad daud, where she was wet in her school uniform and then she was pretty sexy and all… I don’t remember the scene quite well but I was like… wait a minute… I think I should just stop here and leave the rest to your imagination.

Every Sunday, the street of akihabara is closed to vehicles to allow pedestrians the much needed breathing space to fully enjoy shopping and sight seeing in the famous ‘Electric Town’ of Tokyo. The empty space provided also gave certain people certain opportunities: cosplayers to show-off their latest anime costumes, wanna-be singers to promote their self-fund cds, street performers to show-off their skills, café attendants dressed in French maid costume to promote their café, and also gravure idols to show some skin for the sake of promoting their latest work.

And no gravure idol is as crazy as asuka sawamoto (沢本あすか), who has caused quite a stir in the otaku community when she went to the street, lift up her skirt and let hundreds of perverts took pictures of her undies. After the her outrageous 'performance', she climbed down the railings to give out flyers to promote her next gig.

Apparently, these perverts were called 'low-anglers' (ローアングラー), because they only took pictures from low angles; and it's the latest 'trend' in akihabara among fans of japanese 'small-time' idols. And all of this happened on a public road, and can be seen by everyone including children passing by.

What a way to enflame a discussion about how far could freedom of expression and morality go along. Every time she did this, hundreds of low-anglers would flood the streets and with their mobile phones and some, expensive SLR cameras, took pictures of her in ‘funny’ positions and angles.

This being Japan, the police did nothing (because the police are also perverts); well at least until a tv program made a story about it. Eventually, she got caught and charged with public disturbance (迷惑防止条例違反) and to the dismay of her ‘fans’, it was revealed that she was actually 31 years old, 10 years older than what she told the press.

Talking about such pervertness is always fun, but this time, it’s so over the top that I can’t even make one joke. Sometimes, akihabara is just too much. Remember, she was caught not because of her shameless performance, but of what she had encouraged: that is making huge crowds that disturbed other pedestrian and the flow of traffic.

Man, what a crazy place. Akihabara, enough is enough!

aku baru aje 3 bulan masuk universiti akita ni so mungkin aku kurang faham dengan budaya kat sini. tapi aku tetap rasa mcam tak betul. student2 perempuan (awek2 jepun la ni, bkn bdak2 mesia) kat sini pakai skirt singkat sangat. pakai baju ketat sangat. pakai kasut tumit tinggi sangat. especially bebudak education.

aku rasa mcam ironi pula. diaorg datang ke universiti supaya bila diaorg graduate nanti, bole mencurahkan ilmu dan membentuk moral muda-mudi jepun, tapi zaman diaorg student dulu punya la pakai seksi tak bertempat, dan sudah semestinya tidak bermoral.

if you dress like a slut, you will be treated like one. i think these girls are too shallow, to think that sexier is better. but i don't want to bullshit anyone here, i'm a normal guy so i will never hate attractive sexy adult women but come on! sometimes enough is enough. especially when exams is just near the corner and i need to focus on things that matters the most at that time. it's hard to stay focused when you start your day by looking at ass and tits. i tried to look away, but the slut-power is too awesome to be taken lightly.

well, i guess i can't 100% blame them. the japanese mass-media really put pressure on young women to look good, slim and sexy all the time. busu, make inu etc. are the words that japanese women don't want to be associated with because it would mean a disastrous, lonely life with no one to love you except diet supplement companies. it's so unfair that it's actually true: pretty girls get rich guys. and those guys are shallow too.

it's summer and with the rising temperature, the shortness of their skirts started to rise too. these things could mess with my perceptions about women that it makes me want to live in a muslim world. in the end, it makes me think, should i bitch about this 'problem' all the time or change my perspective and just enjoy the sinful sights?

she's all over the place. comedy programs, music shows, talk shows you name it. the japanese gravure world has never been stirred up to this level of attention and excitement. every japanese pervert and even normal people (!) is taking notice of her. they were all screaming "kawaii!!!" everytime she makes a movement, it's surreal. and i'm one of them too. at least for the first 2 weeks i first know about her. just search for leah dizon in youtube, and maybe you'll be hooked to her too. it was said that every magazine that put her as the cover girl will definitely sell. and blogs that host her pictures is eating hits for breakfast, supper and dinner.

damn this girl makes me bought all her photo book and calender. that's a first. i never buy anything just because it's kawaii or beautiful. damn i was being floated by her mellowness and katakoto nihongo. so she's american right? and trying to be an idol in japan, you HAVE to be able to speak in japanese. and in my 4 years in japan, i have never heard any gaijin that speaks horrible japanese and still be so damn cute while at it. damn i wish she never gets good at it because she sounded so adorable with her horrible japanese.
